Shirley Mae Rayer, of Big River, California, passed away on February 10, 2017. She was born to parents Bruce and Frances Mason in Stockton, California. She was 84 years of age.
Shirley was raised in Santa Cruz, California then moved on to San Diego before she made her permanent residence in Big River, California.
Throughout her life she was in management and a business owner. She enjoyed playing tennis, coaching softball and being a swim mom. Shirley was Semi Pro at El Cajon Tennis Club, a member of the El Cajon Masonic Temple-Order of Rainbows, American Legion post 466 in Big River, California, VFW Auxiliary, and San Bernardino Sheriff Search and Rescue.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Roland Rayer.
She is survived by her son, John Edward Rayer, of Big River, California, and her granddaughter Ashley Elizabeth Jordan.
She was always the one to say “Let’s hurry up and get this done so we can move on.” She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
