Obituary of Edward Peter Donahue

Edward (Eddie) Peter Donahue, 82 of Lake Havasu City passed away at home on January 25th, 2017 He was born to Peter and Marie Donahue on Feb 24th 1935 in Medford, Mass. Edward was an Army Veteran 1954-56. After the Army Edward returned home and worked for the city of Medford. He married his wife of 59 years, Elizabeth Beatrice on April 27th 1957 at The St. James Church in Medford, Ma. After starting their family of four children they moved to Lake Havasu City in July of 1974 and Edward took employment at McCulloch Corporation where he retired in 2000. Edward enjoyed woodworking, which he did in his retirement, making many pieces of cherished furniture for his loved ones. He enjoyed Nascar and followed Dale Earnhardt Sr. and then his son Jr. religiously. He loved to spend time with family and was always there if needed. Edward was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Marie Donahue, Daughter Janet Williams, Daughter in law Tracey Donahue, and Sister Anne Ballion. He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Donahue, Sons; Edward Jr., Thomas Donahue, Daniel Donahue, Brothers; Joseph Donahue, Thomas Donahue, Leo Donahue, Sisters; Jeanie Gear, Joyce McGahey, Debbie Falco, Mary Lou DeBenidictes, 11 Grand Children and 16 great Grand Children. Services will be held Feb 10th at 3:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu. The family would like to thank Hospice of Havasu and the wonderful staff and residents of Claremont house for all of their caring and help in this time.
