Obituary of Allan Bernard Baker

Allan Baker, 88, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and formerly of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away Dec. 30. Al was born Aug. 6, 1928, to Riley and Nell Baker in Duluth, Minnesota and graduated in 1946 from Denfeld High School. He married Marilyn Anderson in 1954 and they moved to Lake Havasu City in 1974.
Al served two years in the U.S. Army following high school before going to work for the DM&IR Railroad. He then worked as a salesperson at car dealerships in both Duluth and Arizona. Al retired in 1988 from the McCulloch Corporation where he worked in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Al was a member of the Elks Lodge for 49 years. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, especially bowling and golf. He served as president for both Duluth city and Minnesota State Men's Bowling Associations.
Al is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughter, Joyce (William) Dixon, Charlotte (Douglas) Kiskaden, and Mary (Peter) Baumann; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial service is at 11:00am at the Elks Club in Lake Havasu City on Jan. 7, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
