Jack W Guest, longtime resident of Lake Havasu, passed away on January 7, 2017, he was 85 years old. Jack was born in Cleveland, Ohio, December 19th, 1931, to Irene and Albert Guest.
He married Midge Belt on August 16, 1952 in San Diego prior to shipping out to Korea with the U.S. Navy. He served as a corpsman in Korea beside the Marines.
Jack is preceded in death by Midge, his beloved wife of 61 years, his parents, and brother. Returning home he attended San Diego State and Cal State, Los Angeles, completing his Masters Degree in Public Health. Over the years Jack became known as an expert in the field of alcoholism and substance abuse and their effects on the workplace. Jack retired from Hughes Aircraft as Manager of Employee Counseling after 18 years of service.
He is survived by his sister Marijane Guthrie (Cal Colvin), three children Philip (Terry) Guest, Susan (Larry) Barron, and Donna Guest, five grandchildren Tanya, Carolynn, Rory, Larry and Todd, and four great-grandchildren, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 9:00AM. In place of flowers please make donations to Hospice of Havasu in the name of Jack W. Guest.
