Katherine Lambiris, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on January 5, 2017. She was born to Harilaos and Evdokia Kapranopoulos on September 24, 1935 in Tsaritsani, Greece. She was 81 years of age.
Katherine immigrated through Ellis Island, New York in 1946 and was raised and schooled in Manchester, New Hampshire, where she graduated from Central High School. Katherine met her future husband, Antonio, and they were married January 29, 1956, in Manchester, New Hampshire. They resided in Ontario, California, Anchorage, Alaska, Upland, California, prior to moving to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1995.
She enjoyed many interests in her life that included; being a member in the Philoptochos Society in Upland, California, and also the Greek Orthodox Church, reading, boating, fishing, cooking, baking, knitting, making bi-monthly trips and playing at the Pioneer Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada, and most of all being a wife, mother to her two daughters, grandmother to her six grandchildren and great-grandmother to her six great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, Harilaos and Evdokia Kapranopoulos.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Antonio; daughters, Susan Zimmerman and Toni-Lynne Pilieci; brother, John Kapranopoulos; sister, Fanny Canotas; six grandchildren and six great grand-children.
A funeral service for Katherine will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel, 21 Riviera Blvd., Lake Havasu City, Arizona at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Havasu.
