Obituary of Linda O'Connor

Linda Fahy O'Connor, 76 A long time Lake Havasu City resident, Linda O'Connor passed away quietly at home on Dec. 20th with her devoted husband Jim at her side. Linda was born on Sept. 6, 1940 in Los Angeles, CA.and grew up in Banning CA, marrying high school sweetheart John Sullivan. They had two children, Lesli Jo and John L. That marriage ended and in 1973, she and husband, Ron Betzler and her children moved to LHC where her father was a realtor for McCullough Realty and was a part of the early development of the area. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Bob Fahy of LHC, brother Bob Fahy Jr. and daughter Lesli Sullivan (Brad) Meger. She is survived by her husband, James O'Connor; son, John L. (Siobhan) Sullivan, of Caldwell, Idaho; sister, Carol Mayer of Moab, Utah; 19 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Many long time residents will remember Linda as the happy gal that drove a catering truck winter and summer for Scotty's Catering from 1974 to 2006 and who was often seen during Havasu's early years driving her dune buggy with her kids and dog on Mudshark Beach. Linda loved Havasu and the people in it and made a friend of everyone she met. Jim wishes to thank all the people that helped them as Linda declined. There will be a memorial service at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, at a later date. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
