WILLIAM W. KENNER
October 2, 1920 - February 27, 2013
William W. Kenner, Aka, Billy or Smokey, of Lake Havasu City, passed away at his home at the young age of 92. He was born in Missouri. He was the eldest with six siblings.
He and his wife Mary moved to California in the 1940s. He retired from Rohr Industries, an aerospace company as a maintenance supervisor. He loved his job and family. He and his wife Mary moved to Havasu in 2001. He lost his loving wife and partner of 69 years five years ago. He loved talking to people, eating, fishing, his fruit trees, collecting canes, lanterns and flash lights and going to garage sales for the best deals.
He is survived by his brother Ralph Kenner of Washington State, his brother Donald Kenner of Oregon and his sister Ellamae Aldridge of Arizona. Also, his daughter Sally Young, and son in-law, Jim Young of Lake Havasu and Jane Williams of the city of Maricopa, Arizona.
His grandchildren, Tisha Smith, Ryan Young, Kyle Young, Vincent Williams and Gina Williams and his great grandchildren Bryce Young and Hailey Young. Known as Grandpa Great, he was full of joy and smiles when the great-grandchildren were at his home or he had visitors.
His extended family consists of Karen Martin and Charlee "dog", Connie Jackson, Windy Wilson, Jaime Comiso with Xavier and Baby Zander. Also, Kayle Gerding, Ryan Gerding and Mindy Martin.
He enjoyed his life and truly lived it his way and had a strong devotion to his family. He was a big man with a big heart. His smile and jolly laugh will be missed and his "Thank you" after anything given or done for him. Thank you dear William for being a part of our lives.
Services will be Friday March 8, 2013 at 10:00 am at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd, followed by graveside services at 11:00 am at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
