Obituary of June Hamilton

June Anna Hamilton June 1, 1934- December 5, 2016 June A. Hamilton was born June 1, 1934 to Joseph and Anna Rooney of Castleton, New York. She passed away December 5, 2016, at home with her family in Lake Havasu City after living here for 43 years. June was employed by several hometown businesses such as the Pour House, McCulloch Corp, The Versailles, and as a merchandiser for several companies. Most notably was film development in Lake Havasu, when there were no businesses in town to develop film. June was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, the New Yorkers of Havasu, and the Red Hats. She enjoyed playing cards and dominos with friends, attending New York Club meetings and Tuesday morning breakfast at IHOP. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil Hamilton; parents, Joseph and Anna Rooney; brother, Joseph Rooney; daughter, Donna Hamilton. June is survived by her sons; Kevin (Hildur) Hamilton, of Reno Nevada and Timothy (Kelli) Hamilton, of Lake Havasu; grandchildren, Candice Thayer, Corey Berger, Angel Defoe, Kaitlin, and Erin Hamilton; great-grandchildren; Britney and Bailee Berger, Trinity and Megan Defoe; brother, Kenneth (Martha) Rooney. A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11:00am. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
