EDWARD HARTNETT Edward Hartnett SR. passed away peacefully at his home on March 2, 2013 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 85. He was born on April 20, 1927 in Jersey City, NJ to James and Caroline (Nichals) Hartnett. Edward leaves behind his wife of 39 years, Barbara Hartnett of Lake Havasu City, AZ; son Edward Hartnett JR of Colorado; daughters Mildred Pelland and Freda Chamberlin of California; step-son Fred Moss of Australia; step-daughters Catherine Reed and Helen Webster of California; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and his beloved Lab, Ebony. Edward proudly served in The United States Army, enlisted on July 9, 1945 and was Honorably Discharged on January 15, 1947. He worked for the U.S. Post Office for over 40 years in California and Lake Havasu City. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 2399, VFW Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81. A Celebration of Edward's Life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in Edward's name to Hospice of Havasu 365 S. Lake Havasu Ave., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.
