Richard Tierney, A.K.A. Spooker
September 7, 1951-October 19, 2016
Spooker passed from this life with his companion Lady Norma beside him after a long illness.
Spooker moved here in 1972 and worked in the construction trades. Many residents are living in condominiums and swimming in pools that he helped build. He also worked in Las Vegas for Palmer Construction and remodeled commercial properties. He loved riding his motorcycle and being part of the Toys for Tots Run in December. He also enjoyed supporting St. Joseph's Indian School. He loved people and enjoyed talking to anyone and everyone. He "never met a stranger." His presence is already missed.
He was born in Maquekota, Iowa to Cletus William Tierney and Kathern Mary Tesch.
Spooker is preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings. He is survived by two brothers, Tim Tierney and Bill Tierney; sister, Marge Lafferty; longtime friend Lady Norma; several nieces and nephews.
There are no services planned at this time.
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts and condolences can be made to the Tierney family and Lady Norma at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
