Obituary of Thomas Spellman

Thomas Duane Spellman passed away on October 6, 2016 at the age of 81 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born to Thomas and Thelma Spellman on August 22, 1935 in Hastings, Minnesota.
Tom was proud to have served his country in the United States Army. He then worked as a mason and brick layer in Gardena, California, where he met his love, Peggy. They shared 54 years together before she passed away in November of 2011. After working as a brick layer for a few years, Tom went on to become a Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy. He retired in 1990 and moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. They enjoyed the Havasu lifestyle with several friends from California who retired to Lake Havasu as well. As a group they had many good times together. Tom liked golfing, boating and having a beer with friends. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Moose Lodge, Eagles Lodge, American Legion and VFW. His greatest joy was his family and he treasured spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents; Thomas and Thelma Spellman, his wife; Peggy Spellman, and his brother James Spellman.
Tom leaves behind his brother E. Paul Spellman his two sons Thomas Arthur Spellman and his wife Rose of Upland, Ca. and Richard Spellman and his wife Rosemary of Ontario, Ca. and his four grandchildren; Brad, Stacie, Kelsie and Jake and his three great-granddaughters;Jayda, Riley and Olivia.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Tom's memory to the Fraternal Order of Eagles Charity Fund of their choice.
