Obituary of Bob Plemon
Please share a memory of Bob to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bob Plemon, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on September 24, 2016, at the age of 77. He was born in North Hollywood, California, on July 27, 1939 and was the son of Dell Norman Plemon and Ruby Mae Plemon (White).
Bob was a standout at North Hollywood High School, where he was captain of the football team and an All-City selection. He attended UCLA before proudly serving in the US Air Force. He later attended California State University at Northridge, where he received a B.S. in Economics.
He was a successful businessman in the San Fernando Valley for many years running an equipment rental company and other development and construction endeavors. Upon retiring, he moved to Lake Havasu, where he became a Realtor and worked for Coldwell Banker for 15 years.
Bob enjoyed many adventures in his life. His favorite was flying. He became a private pilot and owned a Champion Citabria aircraft. He made many excursions across the states. Bob loved the outdoors, the mountains, skiing, fishing, as long as it was in nature, he was content. But, he was most proud of his grandchildren and would often tell stories to anyone within an ear-shot. Bob lived life to the fullest, but on his own timeline. He was never on time…….anywhere. All his friends knew this of him, but loved him for who he was. Bob had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.
Bob is survived by his son, Dean and daughter-in-law, Tracey, of Irvine, California and 4 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 1:00pm. In honor of Bob's punctuality, his services will start 10 minutes late.
