Jerry and I worked at the Central Jail in Los Angeles in 1962-63. I got him interested in skin diving and he got me interested in auto tune ups. At the time he had a beautiful 55 or 56 Cadillac. I remember when he left the department to go to CHP. I left shortly thereafter to go to Orange County Sheriff's Dept. where I retired as a Captain. I too am from the Tulsa Oklahoma area and after retirement I moved back here to Oklahoma near Broken Arrow. I have thought about Jerry many times over the years and am happy to see that he lived a full and happy life Sincerely, Jim Guess

Rest in Peace Jerry, Know that all is good.. Jerry and I first met in 1968 in Oceanside when I was I young, just out if the Academy C.H.P. Officer and Jerry was my first graveyard pardner You taught me a lot during our time together, but most of all you taught me what a CHP Officer was and thus made me better.. I'm going to miss you Jer, a lot.. Carolyn, and the rest of Jerry's family, take comfort and peace ,know that Jerry is now at peace with the world, working the Golden Highway and on a bright and shinny new motor... We all will miss you buddy......
