Robert "Alan" Irey, Lake Havasu City, Arizona, passed away on September 25, 2016. He was born to Robert and Mabelle Irey on July 7, 1946. He was 70 years of age.
Robert attended Burbank High School and then continued on with his schooling when he entered college and earned his Doctorate degree at Palmer College of Chiropractic. He then went on to become a successful self employed Chiropractor.
Alan married his lovely bride, Beryl, in Sunland, California, on March 15, 1980.
Alan was a member of the Presbyterian Church, past President of Magnolia Park Optimist Club, and the London Bridge Optimist Club. Alan also enjoyed being a member of the Mohave Search and Rescue team for 5 years, London Bridge Amateur Radio Club, and the Elks Lodge. Alan had a love for shooting, cooking, Ham Radio's, flying, reading and playing with his dogs.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Mabelle Irey.
Alan is survived by his wife and best friend, Beryl Irey , of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; sons, Matt (Tara) Irey, of Anaheim Hills, California, Robert (Laurel) Murrieta, of LaCrescenta, California; daughters, Heather (Dave) Cohen, of Long Beach, California, Leah (John) Horrigan, of Sunland, California; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and his loyal companion dog Sandy.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lake Havasu Humane Society or the Make A Wish Foundation.
A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 2:00PM.
