Obituary of Helen Phelps

Helen Phelps, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona passed away on August 26, 2016. She was 94 years of age. She was born to Hans and Edna Eriksen on June 29, 1922 in Northern California. Helen proudly served her country in the United States Army as a Lieutenant as well as earning her nursing degree during her military service. She lived a very full life and loved the outdoors and hiking was her passion. She hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon at the age of 75. She loved to play bocce ball at Rotary Park with her friends. She especially enjoyed family gatherings. Helen is preceded in death by her husband; Arthur Phelps, her sisters; Edith, Florence, and Norma and her brother; Vernon. She is survived by her son; Jerry (Sharon) Phelps of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and her brother Jordon (Diedre) Eriksen of Sacramento, California, her grandchildren; Eric J. Phelps and Nicholas (Jenny) Phelps and her great-grandchild; Amber Lynn Phelps. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
