James G. Lenz of Bullhead City, Arizona, passed away August 24, 2016 at the age of 77. He was born April 21, 1939. Jim was raised and educated in Rockford, Illinois. At age 18 he enlisted in the United States Navy and served his country as a Boiler Tech BT3, stationed on the USS Lexington CV-16 from 1957-1960. He married his late childhood sweetheart Patricia A. Brady and always deemed their four children his finest accomplishments. Jim was a successful business man; owning several businesses in Rockford, Illinois. He was a talented entrepreneur and there was no limit to the kind of business he could run. He owned and operated Lenz Painting and Decorating, KampingLand Trailer Sales and Service and a country western bar named Circle (K). When he moved to Bullhead City he continued being an entrepreneur in real estate. The legacy of success continues on through the children Jim was so proud of. He is survived by his daughters; Donna A. LaPointe, RN (Greg) of Surprise, Arizona and Jamie J. Beck, RN (Richard) of Rockford, Illinois, his sons; James J. Lenz, independent maintenance, (Robin) of Bullhead City, Arizona and Robert B. Lenz, Police, (Shirley) of Chandler, Arizona. He was known as "Pockie" by his eleven grandchildren; Traci Duke, Karen Smith, Kristin Cook, Edward Beck, Abigail Beck, Kaitlin Beck, Steven Lenz, Nicholas Lenz, Kyle Noble, Trenton Lenz, Emily Lenz and six great grandchildren; Jordan, Aiden, Angel, Kylie, Stephen and Emmitt. Jim will be laid to rest in Rockford, Illinois at the Calvary Cemetery with his parents and immediate family. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
