Obituary of Ronald Alan Taylor

Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ronald "Tee" Taylor, 69, of Lake Havasu passed away quietly at home 8/18/2016 after a courageous battle with stomach cancer. He was born in Glen Ridge, NJ and grew up in nearby East Orange with 5 siblings. Tee was a man of many talents that he developed throughout his life and lived many places. He served for 20 years in the U.S. Army as an electronic repair technician which took him to Taiwan, Panama, Massachusetts, Germany, Georgia, and Greece. He also lived in Tucson and Japan before settling in Lake Havasu City. He learned to sew and make clothes while working in his parents' dry cleaning business and, after retiring from the Army he worked as a handy man and ran an ice cream truck route. In LHC he was the kitchen manager at the high school for 16 years, and most recently a school security guard for the past 6 years. He loved to cook and garden, often sharing his vegetables with friends. Tee was also a talented mechanic and the proud owner of many custom vehicles. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he went all out decorating his house with lights synced to music as well as a Santa's workshop full of toys, books and trains. He accepted donations for the Interagency Council and also volunteered at the Community Christmas Dinner and other local events. Tee also loved fishing and home improvement projects and was always planning something. Tee always had a positive attitude and was a friend to everyone he met. He was a great man and he will be greatly missed by many. He is survived by his wife Beth Taylor, and children Jesse Taylor (Erin) and Leah Taylor. A celebration of Tee’s life will be held September 17, 2016 at Lake Havasu High School gym from 10:00am-12:00pm. In honor of Tee’s favorite color, please wear yellow. If you are a student or teacher from LHHS, please wear something in school spirit, whether it’s a school jersey or shirt in purple and gold. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lake Havasu High School. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts and condolences can be sent to the Taylor family at www.lietzfrazefuneralhome.com
