Wallace I. Salzman, age 90, of Lake Havasu City passed away on Sunday after a brief illness. He was born on September 2, 1922 in Leapolis, WI to Clara Dahlman and William Salzman. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army and was awarded a Purple Heart decoration. He and his wife, Elayne moved to Lake Havasu City in 1971 and he retired from the Lake Havasu City Water Division. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elayne, and two brothers, Earl and Roy. He is survived by two sons, Dennis (Christine) Salzman of Overland Park, KS and Stanley (Valorie) Salzman of Loveland CO, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A visitation and rosary will be on Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church 11:00 a.m. with Father Chauncey Winkler officiating. Burial will be at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Beacon of Hope Hospice 500 N. Lake Havasu Ave., Ste. B106 Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 or Global Care Assisted Living 2842 McCulloch Blvd., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403, providers of excellent care, are suggested.
