Obituary of Russell Norwood Dunham

Russell Norwood Dunham, 83, of Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away suddenly on July 5, 2016, after a brief illness.
Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on January 13, 1933, Russell graduated from Attleboro High School and enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. He worked for the family business, R. S. Dunham Lumber Company, until moving with his late wife Marie (nee Kirby) and children to Cape Cod in 1969. There, he worked alongside his son Alan in construction.
In 1998, Russell and Marie retired in Lake Havasu City. Following Marie's death in 2001 he married a wonderful woman, Yoshiko, who was by his side when he passed away.
They have two lovable dogs, Lucy and Foxy.
Russell was passionate about hunting and ?shing. He spent many of his younger years coasting the waters of Cape Cod Bay on his boat. He loved country music, his tobacco pipe and the occasional cocktail.
He is survived by his wife Yoshiko M. Belles, of Lake Havasu City; his son Alan R. Dunham and his wife Cindy, of Eastham, MA; his daughter Lynne M. Scannevin and her husband Derrick, of Brewster, MA; his brother Daniel Dunham and his wife Cheryl, of South Carolina; his sister Mary Jane Sylvia and her husband William, of Attleboro, MA;
6 grandchildren, Sarah Pennington and her husband Jerad, of Lake Havasu City, AZ;
Sean Scannevin, of Wake?eld, MA; Carley and Eric Scannevin, both of Brewster, MA; Christopher and Scott Dunham, both of Yarmouth, MA; and 2 great-grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his ?rst wife Marie C. Dunham, of Eastham, MA; his father Russell S. Dunham and his mother Barbara Jane Dunham, of Naples, FL.
A private memorial is planned on the beloved boat he passed on to his son, the Lynne Marie, on Cape Cod Bay in September.
