Duwayne Aaron Haynes passed away August 2, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona at the age of 71. He was born to Rolland and Hulda Haynes in Lemmon, South Dakota on June 3, 1945. Duwayne was proud to have served his country as a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran. His dedication to service carried over into his civilian life as well. He was a Fire Chief and ambulance driver in North Dakota. Upon arriving in Lake Havasu City five years ago, he immediately got involved in community service as well. He was Assistant leader of C.E. R. T. (Community Emergency Response Team) and was involved in the installation of almost two hundred Knox Boxes around the city. In fact, he was fondly known as "Mr. Knox Box" among his peers. Additionally, He was Vice President of the Desert Hills Fire Department Auxiliary. Duwayne loved life and he loved people. If anyone needed help all they had to do was call and his response was always "what do you need?" and "where do you need me?" He always had a joke for everyone he saw. Woodworking was also a hobby of his and he enjoyed helping his girls with their sewing. Duwayne is preceded in death by his parents; Rolland and Kay Haynes, daughter; Amie Haynes, brother; Joe Haynes and in-laws; Gustav and Lydia Diegel, Tim Splichal, Leila Engelhardt and Susan Haynes. He is survived by his loving wife; Linda J. Haynes, son; Aaron (Stacey) Haynes, daughters; Lori Haynes and Kristin Splichal, brother; Charles Haynes, in-laws; Clinton (Ruth) Engelhardt, Delores Diegel and Carmen (Jim) Diehl, as well as one grandchild.
