Mary Margaret McCulloch
Following a long and courageous battle with lung cancer, Mary was called home surrounded by her loving family and a host of angels early on the morning of Wednesday, March 13, 2013. Born May 14, 1933 in O'Neill, Nebraska, Mary was the 8th child of 9 children born to Walter and Zeffa Stein.
She was raised in Nebraska, moved to California at the age of 8, where she resided until she moved to Lake Havasu City in 1982. She graduated from Bellarmine-Jefferson Catholic High School in Burbank in 1951 and began working at Eastman, Kodak Company soon thereafter.
Beautiful inside and out, she was a model for Kodak during the 1960's and became their first ever female sales representative, where she enjoyed much success. She retired from her career at Kodak at the age of 40 and enjoyed a long and active retirement. A few of the many activities enjoyed during this chapter of her life were golf, fishing and gambling. Lucky "Lady Mare" was a frequent winner at any casino she entered. She was a fun-loving and generous soul who will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
She is survived by her husband Richard, daughter Debbie, step-children Michael and Jeanie as well as her grandchildren Lea, Nicolle and Collin, great-grandchildren Jenaye and Evan, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is now out of pain, soaring with the Angels and in God's loving embrace for which her family is very grateful.
Her family wishes to thank Gracie Walker for her loving dedication to Mary's care during her last chapter as well as the staff at The Polidori House who made her transition peaceful and pain-free. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of Havasu would be greatly appreciated.
