Obituary of Eliseo Mariani

Eliseo O. Mariani passed away August 2, 2016 in Lake Havasu City AZ. Eliseo was born July 9, 1929 in Argentina and immigrated to the United States in 1956 on his own with little money in his pocket. Eliseo attended University of Indiana and received his bachelor of Science in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. He started a private Engineering firm in Los Angeles, Eli worked for the U.S. Department of Energy, Division of solar Energy and found his passion in alternative energy and Biomass research. He briefly tried out his skills as a restaurateur and opened a multi-cultural restaurant in Los Angeles. After closing his restaurant he continued to work at his engineering firm and for the government traveling extensively with his wife Carmen throughout the world, researching alternative energy sources and solutions. Eli was always an entrepreneur and came up with various inventions including a patent for his "Gassifier"; this was designed to convert wood into energy. Eli was a dedicated inventor and spent most of his life working on his passion to create a solution for the worlds energy crisis. Eliseo is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carmen E. Mariani; sons, Eliseo "Scott" and wife Lynda Mariani, grandson Ryan, Michael and wife Kay Mariani, grandsons Ian and Stephen Mariani, daughter Francesca Mariani and Carmen's daughters Martha and husband John Barbee and Suzanne E. and husband Chris Kettle. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday August 8, 2016 at Our Lady Of the Lake Catholic Church 1975 Daytona Dr. Lake Havasu City AZ 86403. Burial will take place immediately after at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
