Betty Jean Petersen Date of birth: September 17, 1931 Date of death: July 26, 2016 Betty Petersen (nee Heuer) passed away July 26, 2016 at the age of 84. She was born to Louis and Esther Heuer in Lake Park, Iowa on September 17, 1931. Beloved wife of the late Loren George Petersen. They were married for 62 years and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1981. Prior to this they lived in Cherry Hill, NJ; Portland, OR; San Carlos, CA; and Worthington, MN. Betty enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, and many types of dancing including ball room dancing and square dancing. She was an avid fan of "Dancing with the Stars," often watching it with her husband, daughters, and grandchildren. Betty is survived by her four daughters: Marcia Walther (Greg) of Roseburg, OR; Carolynn Joyce (Michael) of Blackwood, NJ; Lori Felish of Lake Havasu City, AZ; and Mitsy Petersen of Golden Valley, AZ. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her including her nine grandchildren McKenzie, Tom, Angela, Christine, Kelly, Stephanie, Kimberlee, Meagan, and Avery and nine great-grandchildren Mikayla, Sydney, Blair, Easton, Zoey, Blakelee, William, Brynlee, and Ellie Ryan.
