Obituary of MARIO BRESSAN

Mario Bressan, of La Quinta, California, passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on July 25th 2016. He was the son of Antonio Bressan and Palmira (Barbiero) Bressan, born on December 9th, 1921 in Lozzo Atestino, Italy. He was one of 14 children. Mario was widowed from Angela Carole (Ligotti) Bressan, who passed away at the age of 90. They were married for 67 years. Mario came to America in 1942 as a Prisoner of War during WWII. While a prisoner Mario met and fell in love with Angela. Together they returned to Italy and were married in Mario's hometown of Lozzo Atestino in 1947.
Mario enjoyed cooking, bowling, playing cards, and taking day road trips with his late wife. He was also an affiliated member of the Italian Men's Club, Bowling League, and the Italian Catholic Church. Most of all, Mario cherished spending time with his family.
Mario is survived by his son Thomas Victor Bressan of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sister Wilma Bressan of Lozzo Atestino, Italy; sister-in-law Blanche Bressan, of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren Mark Bressan and Christopher Bressan, and great-grandchildren Daniel Bressan and Brooklyn Bressan.
Services for Mario will be held on Tuesday, August 9th, 2016 at 10:30AM in the Main Mausoleum at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4201 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles, CA. immediately Following services a celebration of life lunch will be held (3 miles north of cemetery) at; Lumanarias restaurant (3500 W. Ramona Blvd. Monterey park, CA. 91754)Phone number 323-368-4177. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu.
