Obituary of Joan Cleora Harring

Joan Cleora Harring, died at home, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 78 on June 6, 2016 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born to Charles and Cleora Trafton in Everett, Massachusetts on March 20, 1938. Joan met and married the love of her life, Peter Harring, in Everett, Massachusetts. They couple spent a beautiful 57 years together. Joan, also known as Joni, loved going to the beach. She was an outstanding cook, seamstress, quilter and knitter. She designed and made several wedding gowns and most of the children's clothes during her early years. She was also an expert quilt maker, both hand and machine made. Before marriage, Joan was an executive secretary to the president of Duplicating Company in Everett, Massachusetts. She was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Joan was the kindest, most caring Mother on Earth, her family said. "As Mom would always say, 'It's just bye for now,' they added. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Cleora Trafton and sister; Donna Connor. She is survived by her sons; Peter R. Harring, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Phillip R. Harring, of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, daughters; Robin M. Plante, of Hudson, New Hampshire, Debbie A. Shreenan, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Michelle A. St. Pierre, of Nashua, New Hampshire, brothers; Edward Trafton, of Raymond, New Hampshire, Chucky Trafton, of Peabody, Massachusetts, sister; Dotty Rivers, of Everett, Massachusetts as well as 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
