Eva Genevieve Resler died on June 2, 2016, at the age of 89, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born April 17, 1927 in Dover, Delaware to John and Julia Vane. Eva served her county as a WAF in the United States Air Force. This is where she met her husband, William, who was also serving in the Air Force. They were married in Delaware on February 27, 1959 and shared 42 loving years together before William went to be with the Lord in 2001. Eva liked to crochet. She loved BINGO and going to the casino. She had a green thumb and enjoyed to garden. She said she “liked to play in the dirt.” Eva was also a member of the Elks. She was a good mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. Eva’s family would like to give special thanks to Glenda Laird and Melanie Housty for the love and care they provided to Eva. Eva was preceded in death by her parents; John and Julia Vane, husband; William Resler, son; Christopher J. Resler, and sisters; Elenore and May. She is survived by her daughters; Lucy Akers and Mary Jane (Dwain) Rugh, son; William Resler JR. as well as 9 grandhcildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Eva’s funeral service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 10 a.m. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
