Obituary of Claudia Elaine Pena

Claudia Elaine Pena, 64 of Golden Valley, AZ passed away on May 16, 2016. She was born in Barstow, Ca, on November 16, 1951 to Vernon and Mary LaPrade. She leaves behind her husband, Luis "Gary" Pena of 23 years; daughter, Sami Josephine Moline, (Cody Moline), of Kingman, AZ; Father Vernon LaPrade of Barstow, CA; sisters, Mary Lu LaPrade of Los Molinos, CA, Jennie LaPrade of Los Angeles, CA and Shirley Ray LaPrade of Barstow, CA. My Mother Claudia was a very loving and caring person. She loved animals and even sought out to be a veterinarian because of her passion to help and heal them. She loved animals so much her and I opened our own feed store (Rough Stock Feed). Her passion to help didn't stop there. She loved to help anyone and everyone. She would help no matter how big or small the task may have seemed. She always had an answer and if she didn't she would find one. Her life encompassed several careers, from raising a family, to lending a helping hand to the many animals and people that were hurt or cast aside. She enjoyed everything outdoors from sun bathing at the river, riding motorcycles, horseback riding and gardening. Claudia even tried her hand at welding. She was a very hard worker, never lazy, very energetic and spirited. She always strived to be a better person and tried to bring out the best in anyone. Claudia could make you laugh at the silliest things. She loved being happy and to have a good time. Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
