ROBERT "BOB" EDWARD KLEMM, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away in the former city on May 16, 2016.
The funeral service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home, 21 Riviera Blvd., Lake Havasu City on Friday, May 20, at 6 pm. Reverend Jonathan Klemm will be officiating.
Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 15, 1928. He grew up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and graduated from Bob Jones University in South Carolina.
Robert married Eileen Tuttle on July 26, 1951, at Casa Loma, in Toronto. Along with his wife of nearly 65 years, their four children and spouses survive them: David (Linda) Klemm, Jonathan (Tina) Klemm, Kathy (Gailon) Totheroh, and MaryKay (Chris) Collin. Living grandchildren are Joshua Klemm, Jeremy Klemm, Rachel Gunden, Ruth Totheroh, Teresa Dennerlein, Corey Collin, Kaylee Collin, and Makayla Collin. He was preceded in death by his two sisters and brothers-in-law. He loved his family dearly, only second to Jesus Christ.
Over his long career, Robert first served as an ordained minister in Canada, Ohio and Indiana. He later worked in development at Taylor University in Upland, Indiana. As an entrepreneur, Robert founded a land development and investment firm in the 1960s and was still active in the business. Robert loved to tell stories, play games, participate in church, laugh, follow national news, and go boating. Representative of his lifelong approach to life was his playing for three hockey teams as a teenager in Toronto—at the same time.
