Donald Richard La Velle died at the age of 87 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona on May 6, 2016. He was born to Peter and Elese La Velle in Everett, Washington on November 3, 1928.
Donald married his true love, Roberta Marie Widmark, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho on July 10, 1954. They shared 62 memorable years together.
He owned and operated his own saw blade sharpening company in Cottage Grove, Oregon. He was a master saw filer and had been inducted into the Western Saw Filer's Association Hall of Fame. Donald was respected and very well known in the industry.
He loved to fish, hunt, and was an avid snowmobiler in and around Crescent Lake, Oregon. After retirement, they enjoyed R.V. traveling with their dogs, Shadow and Teddi. He was a member of the Elks Club and the Western Saw Filer's Association Hall of Fame.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Elese La Velle; brothers, Frank and Bob; and sister, Louise.
He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Marie La Velle, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; son, Steve (Marla) La Velle, of Brookings, Oregon; daughters, Elese La Velle and Terese (Peter) Kessler, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and 2 grandchildren.
