Obituary of Helen Joan Ahlene

Joan was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. The best decision she ever made as a young woman other than marrying Dr. Martin Ahlene, was to go to nursing school and graduate with her nursing degree. After her nursing degree she joined the Air Force and was a surgical nurse. She is preceeded in death by her husband Dr. Martin Ahlene, son Eric Ahlene and son Mark Ahlene, Father Evan Otto von Rhein.Mother Edith von Rhein,and sister Jean Rahmatulla,. Joan lived an exciting fulfilling life. She wanted to be known as a "Firecracker" and for those who knew her, this was a very fitting description. She was extremely proud of her family. She is survived by her Grandchildren, Ashley Ahlene, Von Ahlene (Amanda) with a very precious Great Grandson Travis Martin Ahlene and Haley Ahlene, all of Colorado. She is also survived by her nieces, Joan Jacobson (Steve) of Wyoming and Gloria Kidd (Roger) of Phoenix Arizona and Ish Rahmatulla of Phoenix Arizona.
