Obituary of Frances Marilyn Quinn

Marilyn Quinn passed away April 16, 2016 at the age of 86 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Frances Marilyn Smith was born to Jack and Mildred Smith in Cleburne, Texas on January 27, 1930. Marilyn was raised in the Dallas and Fort Worth areas until the family moved to Hollywood, California in 1945. She attended Hollywood High School. In February of 1947 Marilyn met a young man just out of the Navy from WWII named Bob Quinn. She was the loveliest girl with a soft Texas accent he had ever met. He became the love of her life; and she his, for 67 years! Marilyn and Bob were married at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hollywood, California on September 2, 1949. They had a daughter Maureen who passed away at age 10 of leukemia in 1960. Their son Rob was born in 1964 in Orange County at St. Joseph Hospital. They lived in various places in California; then settled in Orange County in January of 1956 where they lived until 2013. In April of 2013 they moved to Lake Havasu City to join Rob; her pride and joy, and his lovely wife Kim. They bought a home which they remodeled and lived 3 very happy years in Havasu. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents Jack Regan and Mildred Kennedy Smith and her daughter Maureen Quinn. She is survived by her husband Robert Thomas Quinn and son Robert Thomas Quinn Jr. and his wife Kim. The family would like to give a special thank you to Hospice of Havasu nurses and staff for the comfort and care they gave to Marilyn. A graveside service is to be held at Fairhaven Cemetery in Santa Ana, California on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
