Kent Shotwell
Kent M. Shotwell, 75, passed away August 3, 2014. Kent was born on April 27, 1939 to the late Chauncey and Harriet Shotwell, in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Kent and his wife, Barbara Kennedy-Shotwell were married in 1995, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Kent worked and retired from Steber Construction as a cement finisher. He enjoyed music and had a western style. Kent was a faithful man of god and felt destined to do the work of the lord. He had a mission to accomplish in his life and even felt compelled to create his own heart rock ministry. He was a very giving, caring man and enjoyed attending those in need. He developed many friendships throughout his life and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Shotwell, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; sons, Kent (Prishelle) Shotwell, of Cottonwood, Arizona and Kevin (Ceneth) Shotwell, of Perrysville, Ohio as well as his daughter, Kari (Greg) Naarhuis, of Nooksack, Washington. Kent also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many beloved friends and extended family including his beloved cats.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chauncy and Harriet Shotwell and his brother, Ronald Shotwell.
Visitation will be held for Kent at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral mass will commence at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00am with reception immediately following in the Holy Family Parish Center. Father Chauncey Winkler will be officiating. Music will be rendered by Patrick Tiololo.
