Jan and John often spoke of you both. They certainly enjoyed your company. We were hoping that we would have had the opportunity to meet you when we were in Laughlin with them. Thank you for the joy you brought to both of them (and the great candy, which we had the pleasure of tasting too!). Sincerely, Curll and Linda Kline ( Brother and Sister-in-Law)

Many years ago we met John and Jan and danced together to the Beatles songs. We became friends and our relationship was growing form year to year. We saw each other only during the Winter month. Every meeting was very special highlight for all of us.
John was always gentle and in his presence we had a pleasant feeling. He was interested in all what we have done. His kind of thinking was matching our thoughts. It was a treasure for both of us to have his friendship. So often he drove us to the airport and made our travel so easy an convenient.
We will never forget John. He was the best friend in our second home. We miss him so much - but he is still alive in our hearts.

Coach Ellwood was such a great influence to many athletes, especially the wrestlers. He helped develop the important things in life. The life skills that still remain with us such as good work ethics, self-discipline, self-confidence, teamwork, and good positive character traits. I have learned from him. . . and hope that I have shared what I learned with our young athletes. I will remember him as a great part of my life. . . .

Uncle John was a gentle man that was so soft spoken with a big heart, this is how I will remember Uncle John. The times that the Ellwoods & Klines spent together are by far the most memorable to me. Out on the water and the time spent talking, laughing sharing memories! I loved spending time with all of you. Uncle John was a true to heart family man and will always be remembered and have a place in my heart. Kristi Kline Spille.

Uncle John was very special in many ways....and he will always have a special place in our hearts!!!! As a kid and going to the Ellwoods for vacation was so much fun.. We were waterbugs for 3-4 days. Uncle john taught us to water-ski, but I think we had more fun trying to ski on a round board that Uncle John had made. The 4 Ellwood kids and the 5 Kline kids had a great time together in Uncle John's ski boat!!!
Duane and I always had a great time visiting with Aunt Janet and Uncle John!!!!!! Uncle John had a white JEEP and took the 4 of us out in the desert and climbed these huge rocks. Uncle John loved his family and friends!!! He loved life. We will never forget him!!! Duane and Kelly Sanning

I remember Mr. Elwood coaching the football teams and other sports in Wilkinsburg Junior High School . He was liked by all the students. I believe he also taught health classes for the boys. I am praying for the family during this time and my sympathy goes out to all of you. Susan Corrie Bigelow, class of 1966.

I have to thank Mr. Elwood, as we called him then, for my direction in life. When I entered my first phys ed class in seventh grade I saw Mr. Elwood and I knew I wanted to be a phys ed teacher. Later when I got out of college with a phys ed degree I began substitute teaching at Wilkinsburg and would substitute for his partner in phys ed or sometimes him. I got to know him a little better. Thank you, I had a good life because of your example. Now get those angels in shape up there.
