Patricia Ann Johnson
May 14, 1936 - August 30, 2014
My fantastic wife of 58 years and a 25 year resident of LHC, passed away quietly on August 30th, holding the hand of the man who loved her beyond description.
Pat was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, to the late Merle Nordeen and Gladys Coleman. She was the oldest of five children. They moved to California in the 1940's and settled in the small town of San Miquel, where her father had a job in a lime rock mine. She was an outgoing girl and was active in sports. She loved basketball and enjoyed many other sports.
Pat was the wife all men hope to marry. She was kind, considerate and a great mother who raised three boys and one girl. She also enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing slot machines and traveling. She and her husband, Bob, spent several months each year in Australia. They also traveled extensively and sailed on many cruises. Pat was a previous member of the London Bridge Ladies Golf Club, the Elkettes, and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Recently, she was active in the local Meals on Wheels program. Contributing to people in need brought her much joy.
Pat is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert (Bob) C. Johnson; sons, James Allen, of Oregon, Scott Charles, of LHC and daughter, Roxanna, of Idaho. Her oldest son, Robert D. passed away in 2011. She also has six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pat will be missed by all of us and those who knew her. A memorial service for Pat will be at 1:00pm on September 6, 2014, at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Chaplin, Kathy Kenny will provide words of comfort.
The family has asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Meals on Wheels Program or the Lake Havasu Senior Center.
Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Thoughts and condolences may be sent to Pat's family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.
