Obituary of LaVonna Jean Bobo

LaVonna Jean Bobo-Zehr, 81, passed away August 31, 2014 at her residence. She was born on March 1, 1933, in Lodgepole, Nebraska to Alvin and Eva Reed. LaVonna was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Elkettes, Ladys of the Moose, Western Welcome, and the Vagabounds RV Club. She enjoyed camping, reading, shopping, bowling and playing pool. LaVonna is survived by her husband of seven years, Jack E. Zehr, of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sons, Merle "Skip" (Thresa) Bobo, of Phoenix, Arizona and Marty (LuAnn) Bobo, of Thorton, Colorado; step-son, Michael (Gayle) Zehr, of Hereford, Arizona, as well as five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great-step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Merle Bobo; step-son, Monty Bobo, and sister, Laverna Darnstead. A memorial service will be hled for LaVonna on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in LaVonna's memory to Hospice of Havasu.
