Carolyn Drexel Parrish, 86, passed away on September 1st with family by her side in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Born on April 1, 1928, she was the second child of Otto and Grace Drexel of Kansas City, MO. The family moved to California where Carolyn graduated from Santa Monica High School. Shortly thereafter, she met and married her husband, Donald Parrish, who at the end of his law enforcement career was a captain of the Ventura County Sherriff's Department. An avid traveler and genealogist during her retirement years, Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Donald Drexel. She is survived by daughters and their spouses, Lynn and Dimitrios Georges of Springfield, IL and Shannon and Dan Condie of Lake Havasu City, AZ and four grandchildren. Grave site services are to be held Monday, September 8 at 1:00 pm at Santa Clara Mortuary, Oxnard, CA. The family is thankful for the services of Casa Grande Assisted Living Home and Hospice of Havasu. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu at 365 Lake Havasu Ave S, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
