Viola Williams July 7, 1929 - September 9, 2014
Viola Williams passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Mansfield, Ohio to William Meyer and Bearl Steoops Meyer.
Viola married Thomas R. Williams on January 12, 1947. They moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona in 1978 from Mansfield, Ohio. Viola and Tom have three surviving children, Randall (Betty) Williams, Cynthia Williams Morgan, and Daryl Williams. Viola had many joys and successes in her blessed life. She was a very proud homemaker. She also was gifted at ceramics and played the accordion. Viola was proud of her academic journey. She returned to the classroom after raising her family and graduated from Mohave Community College. Viola and Tom loved to travel. They shared many holidays and summer barbeques with family and friends by their pool. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church.
Viola is survived by her eight grandchildren, Charles Morgan, Lisa Morgan Bezanson, Devin Morgan, Tom Williams, Kim Semmens, Michelle Bedowitz, Ashley Williams, and Katey Williams. She was also blessed with 14 great-grandchildren.
Viola is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Lucille Campbell and brother, Wayne Meyer.
Visitation is being held Friday, September 12 at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home from 6-9PM. Graveside services will be held September 13 at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens at 9:00AM. A light brunch will be held at The Community Presbyterian Church, 3450 Chemehuevi Blvd., Lake Havasu City, following the service. Family and friends are encouraged to attend.
