Obituary of Geraldine Jane Norman Baker

Please share a memory of Geraldine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Geraldine Jane Norman Baker passed away on January 29th surrounded by her family in Lake Havasu, AZ at the age of 87. Jane was loved by all and her warm spirit and great sense of humor will be greatly missed. Jane married her late husband, Hal R Baker in 1948 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage; no doubt they have reunited in Heaven. They made their home in Lake Havasu 20 years ago relocating from the Los Angeles area. Jane was very active in the San Gabriel School District holding various Board Member positions and many years as President of various PTA organizations where her children attended school. She was on various celebrity bowling leagues, Bridge clubs, and alumni committees. Jane faithfully attended her Pueblo Central High School and attended all the Reunions. She attended the University of Colorado where she was a Pi Beta Phi sorority sister. She was one of the few "Wildcatters" remaining, a true social butterfly. Jane was one of the pioneers in being licensed to fly a private plane as well. Jane was a member of the Executive Board of the Lake Havasu Republican Women's Club as Recording Secretary while chairing various American Patriot Committees. She was a long time Board Member of the Christian Women's Club, and a member of various Lake Havasu Bridge Clubs. Jane was quite proud of her extensive miniature dollhouse collection which she amassed over many painstaking years. It was truly one of her favorite hobbies of which she had many. Jane is survived by her three children, Hal R. Baker III of Lake Forest, CA, Jay Norman Baker of Temecula, CA and Janice Coleen Baker of Laguna Niguel, CA; her six grandchildren, Christine, Lauren, Jeffery, Monica, Jennifer and Janelle; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Camilla. Jane was a Staunch Reagan Republican, a true American Patriot, a skilled sharpshooter, and a lover of animals of all kinds, a loving wife, cherished mother, adored grandmother, and admired friend. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
