Obituary of Elizabeth Josephine McCormick

Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Betty Jo McCormick Born Elizabeth Josephine Turner, August 10, 1931 in Paden, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jess and Nellie Turner. Betty went to her Lord September 30, 2014, in Chloride. She was a lifetime member of Ladies VFW Auxiliary No. 2190. Betty Jo's special things were the color pink, chicken, wide egg noodles, vegetables, coloring books, crossword puzzles and reading. She loved spending time with family and friends and a good game of gin or dominoes. She was our best friend, cook, seamstress, should to cry on, party buddy, babysitter, dishwasher, enforcer and referee. She was, the best of all, our Mom. This will be her only solo flight since she always had eight children tagging along behind her: Norma Jo Earp, Mountainburg, Ark.; Jackie Lyn Williams, Chloride; Jimmy Leon Snook, Heaven; Bobbie June Hughes, Silver Springs, Nev.; Billie Joe Snook, Barling, Ark.; Jonnie Lana Snook, Missouri; Emily Esther Adamson, Barling, Ark.; and Nellie Marie Dreggors, Barling; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; plus too many to name, but they know she loved all their hugs and kisses. Betty was loved by all who came across her smile. Truly she will be missed by everyone! No funeral will be held and please send no flowers; give to your church instead. Thank you Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
