Catherine Josephine Mierose, passed away September 30, 2014, at the age of 91. She was born on June 4, 1923, in Cedar Heights (Waterloo), Iowa to the late Lola (Rockwood) and Jasper Lee Thompson. She grew up in Waterloo and later moved to Garner, Iowa. She also spent time living in Long Beach, Bellflower and Los Alamitos, California, before settling in Lake Havasu City, Arizona twelve years ago. She and husband, Jerome were wed in Los Alamitos, California, in 1948. Catherine was a sweet, loving, and understanding woman. She devoted her life to making a wonderful home for her family, her church, and her faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Lola Rockwood; sister, Daisy; and brothers, Robert, Roland and Jesse. Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jerome Mierose, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona and sons, Clarence Kleinberg, of Danville, California and Kenneth Kleinberg, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She also leaves behind four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Arrangements were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
