Obituary of Richard John Zettle

Richard John Zettel, age 88, of Lake Havasu City passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014. Richard was born May 22,1926 in Detroit, Michigan . He is the son of the late Louis Zettel and Louise (McDougal) Zettle. He is survived by daughter, Colleen Pankon (Gary) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; and four sons, Steve Zettel (Staci) of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Richard Zettel Jr. (Debbie) of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Chris Zettle (Linda) of Schwartz Creek, Michigan, and Paul Zettle of Philadelphia, Tennessee. He also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Richards served as a private in the USMC where he served in World War II from January 23, 1943 to December 24, 1946 where he received an honorable discharge. Richards worked as a police officer for St. Clair Shores police department. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, as well as, the Marine Corp League. A visitation will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 25, followed by a memorial service at 4:00pm at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Chapel (21 Riviera Blvd, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.) Chaplan, Kathy Kenny will offer words of comfort. In lieu of flowers the family has request donations to Hospice of Havasu or Alzheimer's/Dementia Association.
