Dear Melvin, Rebecca & Sonny Jo: I pray that in due time God gives you his peace so that you can keep on smiling. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those in any sort of tribulation through the comfort with which we ourselves are being comforted by God." (2 Corinthians 1:3-5; Isaiah 51:2) Our Heavenly Father cares for us and hates to see the suffering that is taking place worldwide. He promised that soon, 'he will wipe out every tear from our eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things will pass away.' (1 Peter 5:7; Revelation 21:3, 4) But until Paradise is restored, when we are plagued with disquieting thoughts or mental anguish we can go to him for help. Psalms 147:3 reads "He is healing the brokenhearted ones, and is binding up their painful spots." Also, notice Psalms 34:18 "Jehovah is near to those that are broken at heart; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves." May these few scriptures bring emotional support to you and your family.
