Obituary of Ronald Edward Carroll

Ronald Edward Carroll, age 58, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 after a three and a half year battle with kidney cancer. Ronald was born April 4, 1956 in Bell, California. He is the son of Horace Carroll and Barbara (Hughes) Carroll.
Ronald graduated from Nogales High School in La Puente, California. At seventeen Ronald joined the United States Navy as an engineman. He was later honorably discharged at rank E4.
After his Navy discharge he worked in Navy shipyards in San Diego, California and later moved to Northern California where he worked construction.
Ronald married Amy (Balk) Carroll on February 6, 2006.
Ronald moved to Lake Havasu City to be closer to family, this is where he found his true passion, he attended Mohave Community College where he studied fire science and emergency medicine. Ronald worked at Desert Hills Fire Department for several years and later at River Medical Ambulance for fourteen years.
During his free time Ronald enjoyed camping, boating, and spending time with his family.
Ronald was a great role model to his family and coworkers; he was truly a gentle giant.
Ronald is survived by father, Horace Carroll, of Saugus, California; wife, Amy Carroll, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; two sons, Bradley (Miranda) Kuenzli, of Naval Base Port Hueneme, California, Darren Kuenzli, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; two brothers, Gerald Carroll, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; Donald Carroll, of Pell City, Alabama; and sister Tamara Sanders, of Saugus, California.
The family has asked for donations to be made under Ronald's name to Denise's Day c/o Sunrise Rotary.
Services for Ronald will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Nautical Inn Convention Center (1000 McCulloch Boulevard North, Lake Havasu City, AZ).
