Michael Lamont Harback passed away November 09, 2014 in Kingman, Arizona where he had lived for 19 years. Michael was born June 26, 1942 in Rice Lake to Kathryn and LaMoine Harback. He was a graduate of Rice Lake High School, class of 1960. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1960-1964 when he was honorably discharged. He was assigned to the USS Boleo in Key West, Florida during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Mike was married to Peggy Ann Parsons on June 27, 1968 in St. Anthony, ID. Mike and Peggy moved with their infant son Greg to Anchorage, AK. in late 1972 where Mike was employed by the Anchorage Police Department and Peggy worked for J.C. Penney Company. Subsequently their work and sense of adventure took them to Hawaii, Montana, Wisconsin, California and Arizona.
Mike is survived by his wife of 46 years, son, Greg (Maureen) of Biloxi, MS; Brother Jon (Linn) of Marshall, MN; Brother Steven (Jeanne) of Las Vegas, NV; Granddaughter Mollie and nephew Jason. Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Mike loved to travel. He was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan, lived to golf whenever he could and loved to watch the Arizona Diamondbacks.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "Life is a journey not a destination". Mike's life journey was very full and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
