James Guy Shellenberger, 89, passed away on February 4, 2016. He was born on March 21, 1926 in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania. On June 15, 1946, he married his one true love, Helen Klinestever at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Columbia, Pennsylvania. They were married for 69 years. James worked as a pressman for Lancaster News, Inc. for 31 years. He also served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was a life member of both the VFW and the American Legion. He was also a proud member of the Democratic Association. He enjoyed backpacking, hiking, and camping. He camped and RV'd all over the United States, Canada and Mexico. James is survived by his loving wife, Helen Shellenberger; sons, Kurt Shellenberger and Erich Shellenberger, both of Lancaster, Pennsylvania and brother, Clyde Smith of Mt. Joy, Pennsylvania. James also leaves behind five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Shellenberger; daughter, Karla Shellenberger; brothers, Buddy Shellenberger and William Shellenberger and sister, Shirley Robinson.
