Obituary of Tominelle Soviak

Please share a memory of Tominelle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Tominelee "Tomi" Soviak, 86, a longtime resident of Kingman, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on November 15, 2014, with her family by her side. Tomi was born on November 10, 1928, in Ozona, Texas, to John (Ernest) and Billie Halliburton. At age 1, Tomi fell in to a campfire, leaving her hands permanently disfigured. But this handicap never held her back, and she lived to be a hardworking and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, worker, and friend. In addition to being a devoted churchgoer and an employee of KRMC for two decades, Tomi loved reading, gardening, baking, cooking, cross-stitch, taking walks, traveling with her daughters and spending time with her loved one. No matter when friends or family would come over to visit, she would always greet everyone with an enthusiastic smile and some candy or ice cream. Tomi is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Vincent of Los Angeles, Raylene Butcher of Sierra Vista, Arizona, and Billie Edwards of Kingman, Arizona; brother Rick Halliburton of Casa Grande, Arizona; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Steve Soviak and her sister Norma Ericson. A celebration of Tomi's life will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday January 9, 2015, at Kingman Christian Church, 2830 Gordon Drive, Kingman. Anyone who loved Tomi is invited to come to remember her. Our beloved Mom and Grandma, we will miss hearing your distinct knock on the door, your traditional Christmas cashews and snowballs, and, most of all, we will miss your smile-until we meet again.
