Obituary of Carol Ann Hawley

Carol Ann Hawley, of Lake Havasu City, passed away on Sunday, November 30th at the Polidori House. She was 69 years old.
Carol, the youngest of four sisters, was born on February 20, 1945, in Elmira, NY, to the late Morgan and Alda Gee.
In August, 1964, Carol married Robert "Bob" L. Harley Sr., together they had three sons; Bobby, David and Terry. Carol and Robert recently celebrated their 50th year wedding anniversary.
Carol worked many years for the Newfield, New York school district. She then decided to go into nursing working with seniors, which she did for many years in New York and several years in Lake Havasu City.
After retiring, Carol became a professional volunteer with the American Legion Post #81 and VFW Post 9401. She was very involved with the Honor Guard and the Ladies Auxiliary with both posts. She was also a member of Military Moms and Women with willpower, as well as, the Moose and the Eagles.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Morgan and Alda Gee and sister, Beverly Keater. She is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Robert "Bob" Hawley, Sr.; sons, Robert "Bobby" Lewis Hawley, Jr., of Bullhead City, AZ, David Hawley, of Newfield, New York, and Terry Hawley, of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sisters, Margaret Carrigan, of Elmira, New York and Diana Belknap, of Melbourne, FL. She also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, Polidori house, in Carol's name.
A memorial service and celebration of life gathering will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the VFW Post #9401 at 4:00pm. The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War will be officiating.
