Obituary of Karla Renee Goldsmith

Karla James Goldsmith was born in Whittier, California on July 21, 1958 and passed away December 8, 2014 in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She has two daughters from two previous marriages. During this time Karla lived in both Lake Havasu City, Arizona and several cities of Southern California, eventually settling down in Lake Havasu City in 2012. Family was everything to Karla; the greatest loves in her life were her two daughters and four grandchildren, as well as her best friend Fabian who she said was always a gentleman. Karla was very industrious and many times this made it hard for others to keep up with her. Karla enjoyed the simple things in life… cooking a good meal, laying out in the sun on a warm day, watching old sit-coms & westerns on her TV or just talking to family & friends on the phone. Karla would always look forward to meetings with her AA family members; she knew they were always there for her. Her death has robbed us of someone who always had a gift of bringing a sparkle & smile to each day. We know she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. May we all gain comfort in the resurrection hope found at John 5:28-29, we know she did. Preceded in Death by her mother Jacqulyn Goode and her youngest sister Belinda Goode She is survived by her two beautiful daughters, Sarah Marie Luong and Stacey Lynn Goldsmith. Her Four grandchildren, Elias Thomas III, Alina Rene'e, Justin Ty and Olivia Grace Her father, Charles James, Her brothers, Brian and Chuck, and her sisters, Jennie and Bonnie Her many aunts, nephews & nieces, as well as the many extended family and friends Her family would like to thank everyone for their support during this extremely difficult time. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20th at the Alano Club, (2041 Swanson, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.) Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
