Stumbled upon this tonight. Justina was my great-aunt, married to my great-uncle Byron, for whom my father was named: Byron McKinley Ward.
We had tried several times to contact Aunt Justina's family and/or the nursing home in Kingman where we had heard she was living, but with no luck.
I must now tell my 93-year-old mother that one of her favorite aunts is gone, and I know this news will devastate her.
Aunt Justina was one of the kindest, giving people I ever met, though I only met her twice. She had a way of holding your hand, or touching your shoulder, that made you feel her love and warmth: to be touched by this angel just made me feel surrounded by security and affection.
I am not sure where Aunt Justina's family is, but I wish you all of the loving kindness that she gave so freely. Please know that we will pray for you, and pray that Aunt Justina's final journey was as gentle as possible.
God Bless you, Aunt Justina. Please hug Uncle Byron and my father for me?
