It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of William A. Soule, Sr. Born October 6th, 1929 in San Mateo, CA; he was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Catherine "Kay" Soule and nephew, Louis Soule.
Popa Bill, as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren, led a full life that took him to Alaska, Arizona, and Florida. After serving his country during his stint in the U.S. Army, he settled into a career as a General Contractor. A career that enabled him to travel to such places as Africa, Easter Island, Brussels, and various other locations within the United States, building hospitals and schools. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
But above all things, Popa Bill loved his family. He is survived by his children and grandchildren, Patricia Ross of Florida, Chris and Linda Flemke. Debi Smith of Arizona, Jesse Smith and Brandy Southerland. Richard and Charlotte Soule of Georgia, Lori Ann McMurry, Terry Beniot, Justin Anderson, Summer Godlewsli and Cory Ann Soule. William and Yvonne Soule, Jr of Georgia, Christine Soule and Kasey Soule-Firebaugh, Thomas Scott Soule of Georgia and Jordan Soule, Michael and Irina Soule of California, Sophia and Emily Soule, Carin Soule of Arizona, Priscilla and Darin Hughes of Tennessee, Savannah and Conner Hughes, Tracy Davis of Florida and Nicole Davis. In addition to the pack of kids, there is an additional 21 great-grandchildren. He will be sorely missed.
Popa Bill retired to Klawock, Alaska in 1994 and lived with his beloved brother. He is survived by Thomas Soule and his children, Robert Soule, Elizabeth Henden and Karyn Castagno.
The patriarch of our family passed quietly from this world during the early morning hours of February 8th, while staying with his family in Lake Havasu, Arizona. He was always meek and gentle as a God#### lamb!!!
